Horrible Training and Drive Home

So this whole weekend was basically leg day.."leg day every day." My legs are burning and I swear I pulled a muscle in my foot. We did a whole lot of running, which was good for building up strength in our legs and stamina, but oh my gosh it hurts-
Last night, I went to sleep at about 9:00, so I had about 8 hours of sleep. Despite that, I felt soooo tired and sleepy today. We met up in a conference room on base at 7:00, then went straight outside for our run. It was so tiring, but I made it the whole way! It was about 40 degrees while we were running and the wind BURNS. Nature is not nice. During warm seasons, you get summer. During colder seasons, you get wind burn. That just sucks.
We finished everything for the morning at 9:45 and we went back to the hotel to shower and eat lunch. The sergeant that trains us usually lets us out at about 10:45 and we come back at 12:30, but Since we got out at 9:45, that gave us almost 3 hours of nothingness. We have to check out of the hotel at 11:00, so everyone sat in the parking lot outside of the building we meet up in for about an hour playing on our phones.
When we all went inside, we played a game to help us learn ranks. It's the same every time: sergeant asks us the pay grade of one of the ranks, we have to get it right or do push ups. He actually didn't make us do many this time.
After that, we went to a little ceremony. It was a promotion ceremony thing. I think the woman was getting promoted to Lieutenant Colonel or Colonel. All of us in the training flight stood in the back during the whole thing. A couple of the other people said they felt bad that we have to stand through the whole thing and were trying to tell us to sit, but the sergeant smiled his wicked smile and said, "Oh they're fine, they've been sitting all day." Right after that, he went on to say that we ran/walked the equivalent of a 5k today. But still, we stood there and waited for the ceremony to end. When it ended, there was cake and punch. We had to wait until everyone finished so we could clean up. We could only leave after we cleaned up. I was so ready to get out of there because I was soooo tired and just wanted to get home.
I stopped by the gas station to fill up my tank real quick and buy some food for my trip. An hour and a half into my drive, I started getting super sleepy. I wanted to stop at a gas station, but there were none around. It was literally a long road of houses and farms, nothing else. When I finally found one, I went inside to buy a Monster. I hate energy drinks, I can't really drink carbonated drinks period. The fizz just burns, but I needed it to keep me awake. After I drank it, the rest of my ride was a little too crazy. I had so much energy, I didn't know what to do with myself. I also noticed that the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel is not only super long and scary, but may or may not be tilted a little. I don't know, but my car seemed tilted the whole way.
Another thing that I hate about driving to Delaware is that you start driving and the GPS tells you to take this exit in 4 miles, then take this other exit in 3 miles. After that, "Continue straight for 97 miles." Every time, it literally kills me on the inside. Even after that, you take a few more exits and you drive for 74 more miles. That many miles down the same road gets so boring, it's really not a surprise that I start talking to myself.
