I'm so bored right now that I just sat here and organized my whole calendar. I have a test that I need to turn in by Sunday night and another one next Thursday but I just don't feel like it- That's not a very good excuse.
I have to go to training again next week. We usually only have it at the end of the month, but because of Thanksgiving, we're having it next week. I usually drive up there Friday afternoons, but next Friday we have a JumpStart meeting and I kind of want to go. I'll probably have to leave early. I originally planned to buy this sort of face mask for training because last time I went, I got bad wind burn and it hurt for a week :( I didn't have time to order one so I'll just have to moisturize suuuuuper well.
Apparently, we're going to be on planes next time...handing out candy canes to little kids. I don't really understand why we're handing out candy canes in November, but okay whatever they want.
And hey! I'm almost 18! My birthday's on November 5th and I'm excited, but not excited at the same time? I don't know. It's nice to be 18 because you're sort of an "adult" now, but I'm getting older :(

Crazy Week
I've literally been living off of energy drinks this week. I've had at least one can a day and it just sucks. It burns my throat, but keeps me awake. After training this past weekend, I got thrown into school and work every day because mom had to go to Canada. My dad hired a guy from another Quiznos restaurant to work in the mornings while I'm at school and he is soooo annoying. He's worked for the company for about 9 years now, I understand, but I freaking know how to run my own restaurant- I've been here for almost two years! I stopped by between classes to help out today because my dad had to deliver a catering order. He told the workers that I'm in charge while he's gone. Apparently when my dad got back and I left to go to class, he told my dad that he shouldn't "leave a child in charge." I was so mad when I heard that. Whenever I told him he was doing something wrong, he gave me a look. Just because he's older and has more experience with the company, doesn't mean I don't know how things work in this restaurant. I swear if he comes back I'm gonna have to fight him-

Buried Treasure
I decided to go through a bunch of old pictures yesterday and man there was A LOT.
This was from an old family album. We have this running joke in our family because in all the 50 million pictures taken of me when I was little, I almost always have this same facial expression. This is the facial expression that apparently makes me look mean now.
I just realized that I don't know where the rest of my pictures are and I'm FREAKING OUT. WHAT THE HECK.

Great Pacific Garbage Patch
AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE IS ACTUALLY USEFUL THIS YEAR. I took the class last year only because I wanted an AP science class, but so far it's helped me with my paper for International Relations. To be honest, I really didn't think I would ever use anything I learned in that class.
Anyways, back on topic. I did a little research on the garbage patch. Apparently, you can't see it from space. That's kind of weird because it's so big. I understand people are working together to PREVENT it from growing, but why can't the world be nice and work together to clean it up :(

Sodium Laureth Sulfate
I mean, I don't really know how I feel. I know it's bad, I should probably be disgusted with all the articles saying it causes irritation and it being a carcinogen and stuff but hey, its cheap. Of course companies are going to use it. I know that something should be done about it, but what can I do about it in the mean time, not wash my hair? Make homemade soap? Those are literally all I can think of.
Horrible Training and Drive Home
So this whole weekend was basically leg day.."leg day every day." My legs are burning and I swear I pulled a muscle in my foot. We did a whole lot of running, which was good for building up strength in our legs and stamina, but oh my gosh it hurts-
Last night, I went to sleep at about 9:00, so I had about 8 hours of sleep. Despite that, I felt soooo tired and sleepy today. We met up in a conference room on base at 7:00, then went straight outside for our run. It was so tiring, but I made it the whole way! It was about 40 degrees while we were running and the wind BURNS. Nature is not nice. During warm seasons, you get summer. During colder seasons, you get wind burn. That just sucks.
We finished everything for the morning at 9:45 and we went back to the hotel to shower and eat lunch. The sergeant that trains us usually lets us out at about 10:45 and we come back at 12:30, but Since we got out at 9:45, that gave us almost 3 hours of nothingness. We have to check out of the hotel at 11:00, so everyone sat in the parking lot outside of the building we meet up in for about an hour playing on our phones.
When we all went inside, we played a game to help us learn ranks. It's the same every time: sergeant asks us the pay grade of one of the ranks, we have to get it right or do push ups. He actually didn't make us do many this time.
After that, we went to a little ceremony. It was a promotion ceremony thing. I think the woman was getting promoted to Lieutenant Colonel or Colonel. All of us in the training flight stood in the back during the whole thing. A couple of the other people said they felt bad that we have to stand through the whole thing and were trying to tell us to sit, but the sergeant smiled his wicked smile and said, "Oh they're fine, they've been sitting all day." Right after that, he went on to say that we ran/walked the equivalent of a 5k today. But still, we stood there and waited for the ceremony to end. When it ended, there was cake and punch. We had to wait until everyone finished so we could clean up. We could only leave after we cleaned up. I was so ready to get out of there because I was soooo tired and just wanted to get home.
I stopped by the gas station to fill up my tank real quick and buy some food for my trip. An hour and a half into my drive, I started getting super sleepy. I wanted to stop at a gas station, but there were none around. It was literally a long road of houses and farms, nothing else. When I finally found one, I went inside to buy a Monster. I hate energy drinks, I can't really drink carbonated drinks period. The fizz just burns, but I needed it to keep me awake. After I drank it, the rest of my ride was a little too crazy. I had so much energy, I didn't know what to do with myself. I also noticed that the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel is not only super long and scary, but may or may not be tilted a little. I don't know, but my car seemed tilted the whole way.
Another thing that I hate about driving to Delaware is that you start driving and the GPS tells you to take this exit in 4 miles, then take this other exit in 3 miles. After that, "Continue straight for 97 miles." Every time, it literally kills me on the inside. Even after that, you take a few more exits and you drive for 74 more miles. That many miles down the same road gets so boring, it's really not a surprise that I start talking to myself.

Spent the Day Driving
My whole day was wasted...I'm in Delaware again. They changed our hotels and I didn't get the email until AFTER I lugged all my things into the first hotel. Then, I had to being them all back outside and go to the other one. I don't even have that much stuff!
While I was driving, I had random thoughts that were so weird. I realized that school buses have so much power. I mean when they have their lights on, they have the power to stop all traffic and that just blew my mind-
I'm so tired and I want to go to sleep, but I still have to shower and everything. I'm so lazy D: I thought I would have more to write about today, but it was actually pretty uneventful.

Lying in Bed
I showered early today so now I'm lying in bed, trying to figure out what to write about. I decided that I would write my process essay on baking cupcakes, but I'm not sure how to write everything. I have to do more research on it. We're supposed to have an 'uncle' coming from Maryland to look at a few restaurants with my dad. He's going to be staying in our living room, which I think might be a problem because my sister leaves pretty early for school so she might wake him.
Okay but really, I have nothing to write about. I just want to finish this essay so I can go back to Netflix, maybe even do some more binge watching before passing out for the night.

Homework
I'm not very sure what I should be working on right now. I want to study up on my math, but I need to write my paper. Then again I have to write that process essay. I was asking my sister for topic suggestions because I can't think of anything and she gave me this:

Procrastination
I just spent my Saturday watching Criminal Minds. I need to clean and do chores and stuff, but I really don't want to. I haven't done anything productive in days and that's bothering me, but I still don't feel like doing anything. As you can probably tell, I actually don't have anything to write about.
I think I'll go do my chores now. I still have to write that essay, study for a midterm, and start on a 4-5 page paper that's due next month. Oh my life...

Acorn is the Meanest Bish Ever-
She friggin clawed at my hand! She was just laying there and then started biting on my shoe. I tried to give her a toy to play with, but she swiped at it a few times before hitting my hand. Her claw dug into my finger and I had to pull it out :( She hisses at other cats too. Another one jumped her while I was about to leave. After today, I'm not so sure I'm a cat person anymore. Maybe I should stick with dogs, they're nicer and not as sassy. I don't know why I even started liking cats in the first place. The kittens are adorable though. I got to play with one of them. I'm not supposed to let them out, but the one I was playing with kept trying to jump off my lap.

I Need to Get My Life Together
I missed my Trio meeting yesterday. I scheduled it to be between my two classes yesterday because I have an hour between them, but I was in the library working on stuff and forgot about it. I went in there and rescheduled it for 2 pm today because the two times that were available before that were 9 am and 11:30 am, but I have class at 9 and 11. So the thought was I would have about an hour after my 11 am class until the meeting. I just remembered just now sitting here that my 11 am class is canceled. That means I have about 3 hours of nothing before the meeting. That just sucks.
I woke up late this morning, maybe because I went to sleep at about 5 am. I had a stomach ache that kept me up all night. I don't feel sleepy, but all I want to do is go home and sleep. I think I might head home after this class to eat and do some research for my paper. I don't really want to go home because I know I won't feel like doing my work, but I'll try to do it. Gosh my life is a mess- I need to stop watching Netflix

Delivery
I had to go to our restaurant straight after school today because my dad is in New York for a funeral. I usually go there anyways and sit there doing homework. My mom told me to pick up my sister after she got home from school and head to Wells Fargo to make a deposit, before heading to the restaurant. As I was about to leave, the phone rang. We take delivery orders, but I don't usually deliver them so I thought I was just going to take the order and wait until my mom got back from delivering it before leaving. When I picked up the phone, I noticed the Caller ID said Patient First. I started thinking that my mom would probably make me send it because I'm so used to going over there now. I heard the voice over the phone and thought, "That voice sounds familiar." I asked for the usual phone number and address, just in case the Caller ID was wrong. When I asked for the name, I realized that it was my doctor :D Of course then I would have to deliver because I know what he looks like. He gave me a $3 tip, which isn't much, but anything's better than that one tip I got a few months back. Next to our restaurant is the Nissan dealership. The owner orders from us frequently and my parents would send my sister and I over there when he orders because it's just a short walk. My sister would get the biggest tips from him, ranging from $2 to $5. My dad usually gets the least, I think the least was 25 cents. So one day I go over there to take him his order. He gave me 5 cents. A frickin nickel. :( :( :( A little while later, while I was talking about it with my mom, I remembered it wrong and said it was 50 cents, BUT my sister said, "Wasn't it 5 cents?" I froze and stared at her for a few seconds before literally facepalming and screaming, "IT WAS 5 CENTS OH MY GOD." From then on, whenever my mom asks me to deliver over there, I give her a look and mention that unforgivable excuse for a tip.
Vocabulary
As I said in class earlier today, I didn't study for the test. I forgot all about and I was so mad at myself because I was sitting at home doing nothing last night. I feel like I told myself last week to study over the weekend, but just forgot. Thank goodness there's Quizlet.
It really helps a lot, or at least I think so. You have to get the definition of the term EXACTLY RIGHT for it to be considered correct so it's good for memorizing the whole definition instead of only bits and pieces of it. I used it for a lot of my classes in high school, but it was hard for a few of them. For example, "Bacteria that live in the intestines (including the colon) of humans and other animals, used as a measure of the presence of feces in water or soil." Like really, I'm not going to remember that.
I realized something when I was sending the resume to you. Apparently sometime last week, probably while I was high off cold medicine, I actually did attempt to do the extra credit sentences. I was about to get angry at myself again for forgetting to turn it in, until I opened the file.
Look at that. Just beautiful :)

ANOTHER Visit to the Doctor
I finally gave in and went to Patient First about my cold yesterday. I didn't think much of it, but apparently I have bronchitis and I gave it to my sister. We had to get our blood drawn and a flu shot. I'm fine with getting blood drawn, but my sister hates it so much. She used to cry about just any needles, but I guess she's gotten over it and now is only bothered by getting blood drawn. When the nurse walked into the room, every time she asked who was going first, my sister was so quick to point at me. I mean, I'm okay with going first, but dang really?
So all together now, with my medicine for my wrists, I have to take two pills and use an inhaler and nasal spray. That nasal spray is NASTY. Like you spray it up your nose but then after a few moments you start to taste it in the back of your throat and it's so EWWWW. Okay I'm done complaining-

Volunteer
Toda was my first day volunteering at The Cat Corner. It was pretty fun because CATSSSSSS. My mom's scared of cats... and dogs... and just about everything. I've always wanted a cat, but my mom would go crazy with one in the house. That's why I decided to volunteer instead, so I can hang out with cats and do something good at the same time. A few of them bit me, one hissed at me, and another bit my hair and tugged on it to get my attention. There was this one black cat that was just so cuddly. She stayed in my lap and let me pet her forever and it was just so adorable.
