I made the minimum for the week! Yayyyyy~

But yeah I really don't have anything to talk about. Oh oh oh I was watching new music videos last night! I'm behind on my kpop but I'm trying to catch up ㅠ~ㅠ So just now, as I'm writing this post, I made a HUGE discovery (feel free to close this blog post and go on with your life).
So the music video I watched last night was for this sort of new group called BEATWIN. I wanted to look them up a bit more before I mentioned them in this post, so I did. I found a page with their profile on it and a list of the members. I looked at it, then go to the list of former members. In the list, there was a guy named Hyeontae.
So he's listed as being in the sub-unit Under Dogg (and currently in Topp Dogg). That's where it gets weird because I'm familiar with Topp Dogg (another group that debuted I think two years ago) and never heard of him being in there. So I did a little more research about Topp Dogg. I always knew about Under Dogg, but never actually knew what they were. Rather than a sub-unit to Topp Dogg, they're more like a group of trainees that the company calls a sub-unit to Topp Dogg to gain popularity before debut. Anyways, I continued looking at Topp Dogg's profile for a bit and learned that Under Dogg records with Topp Dogg for some of the songs Topp Dogg has on their album in other languages. I also learned that, apparently, Topp Dogg and Under Dogg are grouped together at concerts as Topp Dogg G(lobal). I already knew that the company they're under is over-ambitious, but this was a bit much.

And as I continued looking at the list of Under Dogg members, this guy came back up.

Han Jiwon. So I've seen his face plenty of times, but there was something that always bothered me. A year or two ago, MR.MR, another boy group, announced that they were adding a new member, Jiwon. This new member stood out to me because he was a rapper, and they never had any rappers in their group (until a few months later when one of the other members started to rap, and can I just say he's so fnreoniosngre <3). A few weeks after it was announced that Jiwon was joining MR.MR, the company released a statement saying Jiwon had injured himself and would not be taking part in the group's upcoming comeback. I was sad, but didn't think much of it because we didn't see much of him anyways. The group later added another member to replace him.

I received one of my Topp Dogg albums one day, and as I was looking through the photo book, I noticed this Jiwon. ^ I was confused and kept wondering if he was the same Jiwon. I never looked into it unTIL TODAY WHEN THIS CAME UP.

IT IS HIMMMMMMMMMM. I KNEW ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. Okay maybe I didn't know it, but it's him!! I don't know why I'm so excited about it, but finally knowing this just makes me so happy and I don't know what to do with this new information +_+ Why do I care so much? I have no idea to be honest. This feels just like that time I realized that the other new member of MR.MR was a popular ulzzang that I was already familiar with since a while ago. I don't think I should get into that story, but it's actually pretty interesting and I still can't believe it today.

I need to stop looking at stuff while writing blog posts because I just found out that another group I like UNOFFICIALLY DISBANDED. OH MY GOSH. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO FEEL. WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN. HOW. I'M SO CONFLICTED.

DMTN got me through ninth grade with their music. I'm sad now.

edit: I went through so many emotions in one blog post, I feel drained ㅠ_ㅠ

So before I start, I just wanted to mention that I can't comment on blog posts or reply to comments on blog posts so :(
I met up with my mentor today and we ended up hanging out for about 2-3 hours. I told her about kpop and she said that she didn't know Korean music was a thing (insert mental facepalm). She told me about International Club and I think I might join. It seems fun, at least more fun than the International Club at my high school. Apparently I have to meet with her once a week, which isn't a bad thing, but having to schedule it around my classes, her classes, and her other appointments makes it kind of..ugh.
There's this guy that works at a Japanese restaurant by our restaurant. He's also a freshman at TNCC. He told my mom that I look mean at school. =_= It was funny because I already knew that. I always knew that I looked mean when I'm not around friends or talking to other people in general, but I've never had anyone actually point it out.
Oh and I got a new laptop today! My dad and I went to the store and looked at this one laptop for a while before he decided on a completely different one, but since he's the smarty, I just went with it. I'm excited to unpack it from the box, but I told myself I wouldn't until I finished my homework. At least I have motivation to do it now. All I really have to do is study anyways.
I always think I have so much to write about until I actually start writing. Maybe one day I'll be able to write a blog post so long that I'll be too lazy to reread it.

Just to Humor Myself

Well since we need to have at least 40 posts by the end of the semester, and I really don't feel like doing my other homework, I guess I'll do a little introduction. My name is Cindy Li; born in Washington D.C, and raised in Maryland. Both of my parents were from the same city in China, Fuzhou. I'm 17-years-old right now, and will be turning 18 in November. I have 1 younger sister, Sabrina, and no pets, because my mom's a butt and won't let us have any. We own a Quiznos restaurant in Hampton, which you should checkout by the way (shameless advertising). I plan to leave for basic training some time early next year, so I will not be attending classes this coming spring. Right now, I got to Dover, Delaware one weekend a month for delayed entry training. My first time was the beginning of this month. I don't exercise much, but when I got there, it was about 3-4 hours of exercise and I felt HORRIBLE when I came back. After only 2 days, I was suddenly able to do push-ups when I came back, and that actually scared me.
I like to watch dramas, read books, and listen to music. I'm not going to bore you with all the details (for now) but I LOVE kpop and you'll probably see a lot of it in my blog posts. As you can probably see, I added a little music player to my blog with a few songs. I'm using piano version because I feel like the normal version might be loud and scare the crap out of you when you open my blog. I'll probably start using the original version of songs eventually so I can add more and introduce you (and those other lurkers who might look at this) to the world of kpop. But yep, that's all for now, since I have nothing else to write about and I have gymnastics class in an hour. Oh and I cut my hair this weekend! It's so short :(
